Candles

OHLCV candles for a Hyperliquid market, and for one Polymarket outcome token.

Two candle tools, one per venue — deliberately not one tool with a venue argument. Vike serves market data only from venues whose data is on chain, which today means Hyperliquid and Polymarket, and the two are answered by two different engines. Two tools keep that boundary in the wiring: crossing it would mean adding a call, not passing a different argument.

There is no per-token or exchange-ticker candle tool

Neither tool below takes a contract address, so there are no candles for Ethereum, BSC, Base or HyperEVM tokens, and none for centralised-exchange tickers such as BTCUSDT: vike holds no right to redistribute centralised-exchange market data. Asked to chart a token, say plainly that it is not available — never substitute transfer flows, holder counts or any other series for a price series.

hl_ohlcv

1 credit. Historical OHLCV candles for a Hyperliquid market, aggregated from HL's own executed fills.

ParameterTypeDefaultNotes
symbolstringrequiredHL asset: perp ticker (BTC), spot token (HYPE) or raw spot index (@107)
intervalenum1h1m, 5m, 15m, 30m, 1h, 4h, 1d
marketenumperpperp or spot — perpetual or HL spot
dexstringHLPerp DEX. HL is the core venue; the others are builder-deployed HIP-3 DEXs
startstringend - limit*intervalISO-8601 UTC or epoch ms, inclusive
endstringnowISO-8601 UTC or epoch ms, exclusive
limitinteger500Max candles, hard max 5000

Buckets are left-aligned UTC and the window is half-open — [start, end) — so a bar stamped at the end boundary is not returned. Because start defaults to end - limit*interval, raising limit on its own reaches further back rather than returning more of the same window.

Returns per candle: ts (epoch ms, UTC), open, high, low, close, volume, volume_usd and n_trades, ascending by ts — plus source, naming the rollup that answered.

Hourly BTC perp candles on Hyperliquid for the last week.

Daily candles for HYPE on Hyperliquid spot.

polymarket_ohlcv

1 credit. Historical OHLCV bars for one Polymarket outcome token, from the recorded L2 tape.

ParameterTypeDefaultNotes
token_idstringrequiredERC-1155 outcome token id
intervalenumrequired1m, 5m, 1h, 1d — no default, unlike hl_ohlcv
frominteger—Epoch milliseconds, inclusive lower bound. Omit for no lower bound
tointeger—Epoch milliseconds, inclusive upper bound. Omit for no upper bound
limitinteger500Max candles, hard max 1000

token_id is the outcome token, not the market: a condition_id will not work here. Read the token ids off clob_token_ids from polymarket_market_detail, and note that a Yes/No pair is two ids and therefore two calls. Prices are probabilities in [0, 1], not dollars.

Two window details differ from hl_ohlcv and both bite. The bounds are epoch milliseconds only, and to is inclusive where hl_ohlcv's end is exclusive. And there is no cursor, so a window wider than limit is truncated at the old end — to reach the recent end of a long range, raise from rather than paging.

Returns bars oldest first: ts (epoch ms, UTC), open, high, low, close, volume and trades.

Chart the Yes side of this Polymarket market over the last month.

Hourly bars for this outcome token since the start of the week.
