Which coin do smart wallets like and rekt wallets hate?

Call /indices for each coin and rank by latest.smi, the long share of smart wallets minus the long share of rekt wallets; the top coin is where the two disagree most in the smart wallets' favour.

GET /v1/hl-cohorts/symbols/{symbol}/indices answers it one coin per call: its Smart Money Index (smi) is the long share of the 3x smart, 2x smart and smart wallets minus the long share of the rekt, 2x rekt and 3x rekt wallets on that coin, from -1 to +1. Call it for each coin you care about and sort by latest.smi; the highest is the coin where the best traders lean long the most compared with the worst. The full parameter list is on Coin indices.

Quick answer

HYPE here; repeat it per coin.

cURL
# HYPE's indices at the newest snapshot
curl -H "X-API-Key: $VIKE_API_KEY" \
  "https://data.vike.io/v1/hl-cohorts/symbols/HYPE/indices?hours=1"

Example response

Captured from the live API on 2026-10-24 at 17:14 UTC, the whole response. On HYPE the smart wallets' long share was 34 points above the rekt wallets'. Across the five largest coins by open interest at the same snapshot, HYPE ranked first by a wide margin: HYPE +0.340, SOL -0.078, BTC -0.106, ETH -0.125, ZEC -0.229. ZEC is the reverse case, where rekt wallets were the more long-leaning side.

Variations

The coins to rank. Open interest per symbol, largest first; call /indices once for each.

cURL — universe
# the 20 symbols with the most open interest
curl -s -H "X-API-Key: $VIKE_API_KEY" \
  "https://data.vike.io/v1/hyperliquid/positions/symbols" \
  | jq '.[:20] | map(.symbol)'

Each side on its own. smi is a gap, so it is high both when rekt wallets are short and when they are merely less long. The pnl matrix gives each rung's own bias.

cURL — per rung
# HYPE's newest settled hour, one row per realized-PnL rung
curl -H "X-API-Key: $VIKE_API_KEY" \
  "https://data.vike.io/v1/hl-cohorts/symbols/HYPE/cohort-metrics?axis=pnl&hours=1"

Is it lasting? A day of hourly smi shows whether the ranking is a one-snapshot blip.

cURL — a day
# HYPE's last 24 settled hours
curl -H "X-API-Key: $VIKE_API_KEY" \
  "https://data.vike.io/v1/hl-cohorts/symbols/HYPE/indices?hours=24"

Before you rely on it

One call per coin, and nulls stay out of the ranking

There is no all-coin ranking route, so a scan is one /indices call per coin; the API allows 200 calls a minute. A coin where either rung set holds no position gets smi null, never 0: leave it out rather than rank it in the middle. latest.smi grades wallets by today's realized PnL, which is right for "now" and wrong for a past ranking; for that use series.
