What take rate does each Hyperliquid builder charge?
Every row of /v1/hyperliquid/builders carries fee_rate_bps, the builder's realized fee over its volume; /v1/hyperliquid/builders/{builder} adds fee_rate_bps_p50, the median over the fills that paid it.
GET /v1/hyperliquid/builders answers it in one call: the leaderboard carries fee_rate_bps on every builder, its fee revenue over the volume
it routed, in basis points, over the window. That is the realized rate. One builder's profile,
GET /v1/hyperliquid/builders/{builder}, adds fee_rate_bps_p50, the median rate over the fills that paid the builder
anything, which is the closest thing in the data to the rate it sets, and trader_fee_rate_bps, what its users paid in
total. The full parameter lists are on Builder leaderboard and
Builder profile.
Quick answer
Read the realized rate off the leaderboard.
# the realized take rate of the 50 biggest earners over 30 days
curl -s -H "X-API-Key: $VIKE_API_KEY" \
"https://data.vike.io/v1/hyperliquid/builders?window=30d&limit=50" \
| jq '.builders | map({builder, fee_rate_bps, fee_usd, volume_usd})'Example response
Captured from the live API on 2026-10-24 at 17:15 UTC, the output of that jq filter, trimmed to 3 of 50 rows.
1 bps is 0.01% of the notional. The three biggest earners charged a realized 9.77, 4.47 and 9.92 bps. For
0xb84168cf… the profile read 5.32 bps realized, a median of 5.00 bps over paying fills, and 9.08 bps paid by its
users in total.

]Variations
One builder's median rate. The profile's totals block.
# realized rate, median rate over paying fills, and what users paid in total
curl -s -H "X-API-Key: $VIKE_API_KEY" \

| jq '.totals | {fee_rate_bps, fee_rate_bps_p50, trader_fee_rate_bps}'Rate per coin. Builders can charge differently per market; the profile's per-coin rows carry their own rates.

| jq '.by_symbol | map({symbol, fee_rate_bps, fee_rate_bps_p50, volume_usd})'The builder's cut of what users paid. Divide on the fills that carry both fees.
# builder revenue over the total fee its users paid, on fills that carry both
curl -s -H "X-API-Key: $VIKE_API_KEY" \
"https://data.vike.io/v1/hyperliquid/builders?window=30d&limit=20" \
| jq '.builders | map({builder, cut: (if .trader_fee_usd > 0 then .fee_usd_node / .trader_fee_usd else null end)})'Before you rely on it
Realized, not the rate the builder set
The rate a builder sets on each order is not in the data. fee_rate_bps is fee over volume, pulled down by fills
that paid the builder nothing (about a fifth of all builder-routed fills) and moved by the mix of coins.
fee_rate_bps_p50 skips the zero-fee fills and is the better guess at the set rate; it is an estimated median.
Long windows mix fills with and without the user's fee
Older history was imported from the venue's per-builder files, which carry the builder's fee only. On window=all,
trader_fee_usd covers only the newer fills, so divide it into fee_usd_node, never fee_usd: for 0xb84168cf…
all-time fee_usd was $27.5M against $15.4M of trader_fee_usd, and fee_usd_node $9.17M.
