Top holders of token X

Call /tokens/{token_address}/holders; it ranks up to 50 wallets by cumulative net inflow of the token in USD, with labels, which approximates the largest holders but is not a balance.

GET /v1/onchain/tokens/{token_address}/holders ranks wallets by how much of the token they took in minus what they sent out, in USD, over all the transfers we hold. Each row has net_flow_usd, volume_usd, tx_count, first and last active dates, and entity and wallet_type where we label the wallet. For a wallet's actual balance, read /wallets/{address}/balances. The parameters are on Token holders and Wallet token balances.

All five are intermediaries holding LINK for others: three exchanges, the Chainlink staking pool and Aave's aLINK contract. net_flow_usd and volume_usd are plain USD, each transfer valued at the time it happened. The Gemini wallet last moved LINK in March 2023 and still ranks fifth.

Before you rely on it

Ranked by net inflow, not by balance, and capped at 50

A wallet that bought early and holds still ranks by what it paid, not by today's value, and tokens it received without a USD price do not count. Exchanges, pools and lending contracts fill the top, because money passes through them. The call reads the token's whole history, so a heavily traded token can take tens of seconds: this one took 37 seconds.
