Licensing
Two different things are licensed here, and they are licensed differently. The code that produces the platform is one question; the data you download from it is another.
Platform code — FSL-1.1, converting to Apache-2.0
The Vike platform code is released under the Functional Source License 1.1, which converts to Apache-2.0 after its term. In practice: you can read it, run it, and build on it; what FSL restricts during the term is offering it as a competing service. Once the conversion date passes, it is plain Apache-2.0.
None of that restricts the data — a dataset downloaded from the archive is not a derivative of the platform's code.
Archive data files — CC BY 4.0
Every Parquet file served from https://data.vike.io/archive is licensed Creative Commons Attribution 4.0. That means, in the license's own terms: use it for anything — commercial work, research, redistribution, model training — and credit Vike.
A citation line that satisfies the attribution requirement:
Polymarket L2 archive © Vike (vike.io/data), CC BY 4.0.
API & MCP responses — same attribution ask
Responses from the REST API (https://data.vike.io/v1) and the MCP tools carry the same ask: build whatever you want on them, and credit Vike where the numbers are shown. Your API key's terms of use govern access mechanics (rate limits, fair use); the attribution ask governs reuse of the returned data.
What this page is not
This is a plain-language summary, not a replacement for the license texts. Where this summary and a license text disagree, the license text wins.
